With the aim to improve women’s status of women in Japanese universities, the APRU Asia-Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) Workshop was held in Kyoto University Tokyo Office on July 1-2, 2014. Yasuko Takezawa served for this workshop as a member of the organizing committee.

In Kyoto University, Yasuko Takezawa presented the proposal to the university’s next president, Professor Juichi Yamagiwa. Professor Yamagiwa then presented it to Ms. Kumiko Bando, deputy minister of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan on July 30.
